Fastline bring the fun (and the Gnomes!) to the Doncaster Business Showcase 2026

On 26th February, Fastline proudly exhibited at the Doncaster Business Showcase, and what a day it was.

This year’s showcase felt extra special for so many reasons. It wasn’t just another date in the diary, it was packed with firsts, fresh energy and plenty of Fastline flair.

It marked:

Shaun’s first showcase as Head of Operations

Calm, composed and completely in control. Shaun used the event to demonstrate not just what we do, but how we do it, with precision, structure and a real focus on delivery. He had meaningful conversations about process, capability and scalability, giving people real confidence in the engine behind Fastline. Quietly powerful, exactly what you want from operations leadership.

Harry’s very first business event as our apprentice

Thrown into the deep end, and handled it brilliantly. Harry approached the day with curiosity, enthusiasm and a genuine willingness to learn. He listened, asked questions and got involved wherever he could. For a first event, he showed confidence beyond his experience!

Jody’s first event as Head of Marketing

She stepped into the role and owned it. From the way we presented ourselves to the conversations she was having about brand, positioning and growth, Jody made it clear that Fastline’s marketing direction is in safe hands. She was proactive, engaging and completely aligned with our vision, making sure our message landed exactly how it should. A strong first showing is an understatement.

Andy was, well… Andy

An absolute champion when it comes to networking. He has a way of walking into a room and making sure Fastline is not just present, but recognised. He connects with people naturally, confidently and with genuine intent. Throughout the day, he was in conversation after conversation, strengthening relationships, opening doors and ensuring our voice as a business was heard.

Andy doesn’t just attend events. He represents Fastline. And he does it exceptionally well.

Safe to say… we didn’t just turn up.

We showed up in full force.

Set-Up Mode: Activated

The excitement started the day before with stand set-up. There’s something about laying everything out, tweaking the banners “just one more time,” lining up the merch, and making sure every detail screams Fastline .

The team were in full prep mode, checking visuals, organising giveaways, positioning the (now slightly infamous) gnomes and getting everything just right.

By the time the doors opened the next morning, we were ready.

And wow, so was Doncaster.

The Atmosphere? Absolutely Electric.

From the moment visitors started flowing in, the room was buzzing.

The event was brilliantly organised, steady footfall all day, a fantastic mix of industries, and a genuinely positive vibe from start to finish. It didn’t feel rushed or overwhelming,  just perfectly balanced and full of energy.

There is something incredibly powerful about seeing so many local businesses in one space, all championing each other, supporting each other and genuinely wanting to connect. It’s a reminder that Doncaster’s business community is thriving, and we’re proud to be part of it.

Stand Envy & Community Pride

One of the highlights of any showcase is seeing what everyone else has created, and this year did not disappoint.

The creativity on display was incredible. Bold branding. Clever interactive ideas. Eye-catching designs. Businesses really brought their A-game.

Jody and Andy made sure to walk the floor and chat to as many exhibitors as possible, not just to network, but to celebrate the innovation and effort on display. It’s inspiring to see how each organisation tells its story in its own unique way.

When local businesses come together like this, not as competitors, but as collaborators, it creates something really special.

#FastlinesNaughtyGnomes Causing Mischief

Now we simply have to talk about #FastlinesNaughtyGnomes .

Our little networking sidekicks were unleashed into the showcase to spark conversation and spread a bit of fun, and they absolutely delivered.

They popped up across the venue, featured in photos, made appearances on stands and became brilliant little ice-breakers. They did exactly what we hoped they would: get people talking.

One of them returned safely to HQ…

However, four clearly found new homes and decided to extend their networking adventures. If you’ve got one sitting on your desk, we’re impressed. They clearly chose wisely.

Food, Freebies & Feel-Good Vibes

Let’s not overlook the important details: the food samples and giveaways were top tier.

There were plenty of delicious treats doing the rounds, along with creative freebies and branded goodies that kept everyone smiling. It added to the relaxed, welcoming feel of the day, conversations flowing with a side of snacks is always a win.

But beyond the sweet treats, what really stood out was the atmosphere.

It was positive. It was supportive. It was collaborative.

You could genuinely feel businesses rooting for each other’s success. And that’s what makes events like the Doncaster Business Showcase so valuable.

Business Card Drop Winner

A huge congratulations to Doncaster Pride , who won our business card drop and took home a well earned bottle of bubbly.

It was fantastic to see so many people getting involved, and even better to celebrate with such a brilliant local organisation making a real difference in the community.

When Work Doesn’t Feel Like Work

One of Jody’s personal highlights? A conversation about a shared love of the British Touring Car Championship with Wayne Sables .

When you can talk all things BTCC, drivers, race weekends, championship drama, while technically networking, it doesn’t exactly feel like work.

And that’s the magic of events like this. They’re not stiff. They’re not scripted. They’re real conversations, shared passions and genuine connections.

Pack Down, But Still Buzzing

As the day wrapped up, the team whipped the stand down, packed everything away and loaded out, slightly tired, very hoarse, but absolutely buzzing.

Because when you spend a full day immersed in positive conversations, community spirit and new connections, you don’t leave drained.

You leave energised.

The 2026 Doncaster Business Showcase was a huge success for Fastline:

  • A milestone event for Jody, Shaun and Harry
  • Non-stop networking from start to finish
  • Incredible local creativity and collaboration
  • And the legendary debut of #FastlinesNaughtyGnomes

If this is how the year is starting, we cannot wait to see what’s next.

Doncaster… you are brilliant!

(And seriously… if you’ve got one of our gnomes, we’ll be expecting visiting rights.)
