What is MMA Line Marking?

What is MMA Line Marking?

One question which we often get asked by our customers here at Fastline is what is MMA Line Marking. Rather than issue a quick and simple answer, we thought we would look a little more deeply into our explanation and hopefully give a little more insight.

MMA is for the Professional

MMA (Methyl Methacrylate) comes as a 2 pack system, the base component, and the Catalyst component. Professional installers incorporate the Catalyst component under mechanical stirring and mix for 1-2 minutes.. This robust and hardwearing road line marking paint offers up to 20 years of life expectancy once applied.

What colour is MMA?

MMA is available is a wide range of different colours, but as this product is usually made to order we would always recommend ordering enough colour from the same batch to ensure colour consistency.

What is MMA used for?

MMA Line Marking paint has been developed to offer long term line markings for roads, demarcation areas and car parking spaces. MMA is superior to conventional chlorinated rubber or epoxy road line marking paints without the need for heat application. MMA is extremely durable, fast drying and has been developed with stand heavy industrial use from lorries, forklift trucks and even hard plastic wheels found on pallet trucks.

What are the advantages?

One of the biggest advantages of MMA especially for areas such as car parks and distribution centres is that it offers a fast return to service. A great product to use when minimising down time.

MMA line marking paint can be applied in damp conditions along with a MMA Damp Primer. MMA can also be applied in temperatures down to -25°C and can be traffic ready within 1 hour of installation.
