You can, depending on what paint you are wanting to apply over. Some paints do not cover well with thermoplastic. Chlorinated rubber paint and acrylic paints do not cover well with thermoplastic due to the chemical properties and the way in which they inhibit the thermoplastic bond. We would always recommend you try a small area first to test the surface area furst before attempting to cover.
